Anna JUNEK was born in Bohemia around 1879 and immigrated to the
U.S. around 1900. She met Joseph HRICH, also from Bohemia, on
the voyage over and were married. probably in New York city.
They moved to Cleveland, Ohio around 1904 and had 8 children:
Thomas, Jerry, Edward, Lottie, Helen, Bertha, Marie, and Mildred.
Marie Hrich married Walter CHAPEK, who's parents were Joseph
CHAPEK from Bohemia and Anna ZIMMERMAN from Germany (their
children: Walter, Raymond, and Helen). I am looking for any
information on CHAPEK, HRICH, and JUNEK if at all possible from
there homeland of Bohemia. I would like to hear from any possible
relatives.

I am searching for my grandfathers family. His widowed mother was
Josefina KREJCI. His name was Adolf KREJCI. He was born at
Vienna Austria in 1896 and I have a report card from somewhere
over there dated 1902. I believe it was his school report for
his transfer to America. It says something about Ameriky at the
top. I do not know his fathers name, but I do know that he
worked in a boiler factory. Adolf had one brother, Frank. We
think they arrived in America through Ellis Island. I can not
find any record of the immigration. They went to Valley County
Nebraska and he lived his life out in Garfield Nebraska. A
teacher changed the spelling of his name to Alfred CRAICHY.
Can you help me?

My great-grandmother, Barbara KOHINKE, married George Washington
BURNS 13 March 1889, possibly in Linn county, Iowa. She was born
abt 1870 or 1871 and died 1 January 1935 in Linn county, Iowa.
In 1880, she and her family appeared on the census at Solon,
Johnson county, Iowa: Matthias Kohinke (Self, M, 49, Bohemia);
Mary Kohinke (Wife, F, 43, Bohemia); Mary (Daughter, F, 20,
Iowa); Martin (Son, M, 16, Iowa); Annie (Daughter, F, 14, Iowa);
Katie (Daughter, F, 12, Iowa); Barbara (Daughter, F, 10, Iowa),
and Josephine SLIDAK (Step-daughter, F, 7, Iowa). Matthias and
Mary would have had to come to America in 1860 at the latest -
there may have been some older children, but I have not yet
located them in the 1860 or 1870 census. I would like to find
more information on when they came, exactly where in Bohemia they
came from (if possible) and who Matthias' and Mary's parents
were.

I am searching for relatives living in the area of Parchen /
Archen / Schelten / Stein Schoenau, Bohemia, Czech Republic. My
great-grandfather, Joseph KLINGER, was born in Bohemia on 18
February 1861 to Gottlieb KLINGER and M. MUSELEC. The names of
his parents were supplied by Joseph at the time of his second
marriage in Wisconsin USA on a certificate of marriage. I do not
have any other information on his parents or his siblings. Joseph
was married to Pauline MAY 26 January 1891 in Bohemia. She was
born 21 June 1864 in Bohemia. I do not have any information on
her parents or siblings. Joseph died 5 March 1931 at Medford,
Taylor county, Wisconsin USA. Pauline died 9 June 1923 at
Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, Wisconsin USA.
Joseph and Pauline lived in the Parchen / Archen / Schelten /
Stein Schoenau area where they had at least 6 children: Emma
Pauline, born 10 August 1891 (my grandmother); Richard, born 6
March 1894; Joseph, Jr., born around 1896; Kamilla, born in 1897;
Otto, born 3 July 1900; and Pauline, born 11 December 1902. There
is a family story that there was a younger sister that died
shortly after their arrival in the USA, and is buried under a big
oak tree in North Carolina. We don't have any information on her
- not even her name, but I assume she would have been born
sometime between 1902 and 1907. Pauline supposedly had another
child while enroute to the USA. That child died at birth and was
buried at sea. The family was of the Catholic religion. They
left Bohemia in 1907 with their 6 children. We don't have any
further information on the family that was left behind. Does
anyone know of any of these families - KLINGER, MAY, or MUSELEC -
past or present? I know about where the villages of Parchen,
Schelten, and Stein Schoenau are located, but I don't know much
about them, so any information about the area - or a reference to
a source for that information - would be greatly appreciated as
well. Thank you in advance for your help.

I am looking for information about my great grandfather, John
HEJDUK (later changed to HEYDUK). He was born in either 1862 or
1864, at Radnice, Bohemia. He married Marie Fisher, we believe
in Bohemia. She was born in 1871 and died in 1935. He
immigrated to the USA prior to 1890 and died in 1945.

I am researching my family tree and wanted to know if anyone
knows where Kammitz, Austria or Bohemia is located? Also, would
anyone know where Parchen / Schelton (small villages in Bohemia)
were located. I understand that my great grandparents came from
Bohemia in 1891. Their names were Anna and Anton SCHULZE
(SCHOLZE). Anna was a FRIETCHE. Her mother was Rosalie
POOLE (PUHL) I can't seem to find any relatives of hers. All I
know is that she had a brother who immigrated to America in 1901
and died two months later. I would appreciate any information or
references. Thank you.

My grandmother, Ida WILKE, was born 1879 in the then
Austro-Hungarian Empire at Reichenberg, Bohemia, Austria - now
Liberec, Czech Republic. She married Arthur Paul SCHUBERT at
Chemnitz, Germany in 1896 - they immigrated to Chicago in 1902.
Her parents were Josef Frank WLK and Carolina Anna PILZ, born at
Jirsko and Altharzdorf respectively. They married at Altharzdorf
in 1867. Josef Frank WLK's parents were Frantisek VLK and
Elisabetha KOR'ATKO, born at Hubßlov (Hubsslov) and Koryta
respectively - they married in 1842 at Loukovec. Carolina PILZ's
parents were Johann Franz PILZ and Franziska LINDNER, born at
Altharzdorf and Dorfel respectively - they married in 1835 at
Dorfel. I'm searching for information on the VLK side in
particular, but would appreciate any information on any of the
persons listed. Thank you.

I am trying to find information about a bohemian glassblowers
family by the name of HELLER. The father, Karl HELLER,
immigrated together with his son to Belgium about 1917.
According to my information, the Heller-family was active in
glassblowing for three generations. Karl Heller was born at
Meistersdorf in 1886 and went to a glass-art school at
Steinschönau, Sudentenland. He was married to Pauline
TUSCHL, born at Bergreichenste in 1886. The great-greatfather's
name was Wilhelm HELLER. Any information to track down this
family-history is welcome.

On my paternal grandmother's side, she was a BORYS, or BORIS. I
have a relative named Franz WELETA (WILETA, VILETA, etc. ?).
Franz was born in 1769 in "Bohemia". That comes from an
Ahnenpasz of a BORYS relative. At some point, Mr. Weleta
immigrated to the village of Molodia in the Province of Bukowina.
Molodia is southeast and near the city of Czernowitz in
present-day Ukraine. He married a Sofia Czichowski and
died at Molodia in November 1849. I hope this information is of
help to someone, and will lead to finding out more about my
Weleta relative. Thanx.

My great grandfather, Joseph WALLISH / WALLISCH, immigrated from
Borilz, Bohemia in 1891 and settled at Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
His father, Joseph / Josef J. WALLISH / WALLISCH, immigrated with
his wife Katherina and children Johanna, Josepha and Maria on the
German ship "Aller", arriving at the port of New York on 19
October 1900 from the port of Bremen Germany. The ship's
manifest listed them as being from Borilz, Bohemia. I am looking
for any information on the city or village of Borilz and the
WALLISCH family. Thanks.

Miroslav (Mike) KOKES, the son of Miroslav KOKES and Marie Kokes,
was born in 1921 at Prague, and immigrated to the USA about
1949-1950. Aloyiscious (phoenetic) may be the name of the
grandfather. He had a cousin Charles on father's side of
family.
