I am seeking cousins in the United States and / or information
about my grandfather's older brother, Matthew (Matej) CMOLIK,
born before 1884 at Rozmital pod Tremcinem, Bohemia to Matej
CMOLIK and Anny KUSBACH. His mother died in childbirth 26 April
1884, the day my grandfather Vaclav (James) CMOLIK was born (at
Rozmital pod Tremcinem, just south of Prague). My grandfather's
baptism was by a Catholic priest. The baby was raised by
KUSBACH relatives. All that is known of Matej CMOLIK, father of
Matthew (Matej) and Vaclav (James), is that he had only one arm -
and that contact with him was lost when he left the Rozmital
area. My grandfather married Marie SOBOTKA (daughter of Frantisek
SOBOTKA and Marie SADILEK) at Rozmital in 1907. They emigrated
to Saskatchewan, Canada in 1911 with their daughter Rose CMOLIK
(born at Rozmital 16 October 1909 and baptized Theresa). My
grandfather's brother Matthew CMOLIK is believed to have settled
in the United States. Recently turned 90, my aunt recalls no
contact between her family and her uncle Matthew CMOLIK. I find
no entry for Matthew CMOLIK in the online US Social Security
index. Research suggestions welcome.

I am trying to find information about my family: namely Rudolf
DUSCHEK or Rudolf DUSEK, born at Unter-themanau (Postorna) 25
March 1903. He was the son of Emil DUSCHEK and Antonia DUSCHEK
(nee FILZMANN) He married Juliana OSLZA or OSLZLY. She was from
Maravia, the town of Velke-Bilovice. Her parents were Tomas and
Juliana. Her mother's maiden name was CACHYN or CACHYNOVA or
KACHYN or KACHYNOVA. Rudolf and Juliana had 2 children, Rudolf
Jr. and Antonia. We know they immigrated to Germany after the
second world war. Rudolf Jr. then immigrated to Canada in 1952.
His parents followed soon afterwards. His sister Antonia lives
in Australia but does not seem to have much information on the
family. Emil or Emile Duschek, a brother to Rudolf Duschek Sr.
was listed as missing in action in World War II. If you can tell
me where I should search for information on any of these people I
would be grateful. All of the above except Antonia are deceased.
Thank you.

I am trying to trace the ancestors of Vaclav HURYTA and Anna
MATEJKA. They were married about the
year 1854 in Bohemia. Vaclav was born 29 October 1842/1845 in the
village of Hermanice which I believe to
actually be the village of Ceske Hermanice in the district of
Usti nad Orlici. Anna was born 24 April 1843 in
the village of Litomysl. Vaclav, Anna and a son, Wencil,
emigrated to America between the years 1866 and
1869. I
have been unable to locate emigration records and would
appreciate any information. The censuses indicate
they lived in Tama County, Iowa and Marshall County, Iowa until
about 1887 when the family relocated to
Nebraska. Over the years they lived in Sherman County and
Buffalo County, Nebraska. They had seven
American born children: Joseph (born 1869), Mary (born 1872),
James (born 1875), John (born 1875), Frank
(born 1881), William (born 1883), and Anna (born 1885). All were
born in Iowa.
In addition to the Bohemian ancestors of Vaclav HURYTA and Anna
MATEJKA, I am searching for any
siblings of Vaclav and Anna who might also have emigrated to the
United States. There is a Zacharise
HURITA (father - Vaclav, mother - Marie) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
but I can't tell if he is a brother of my
Vaclav HURYTA. I have traced the decendants of Vaclav and
Anna.

November 1892, in Czechslovakia. I am also looking for
information on her siblings' descendants. Her father

I looking for information on my great-grandparents on both sides.
All I know for sure, is that they immigrated from Czech to
Galveston, Texas, somewhere between 1850 and 1890. Emil TILICH
(?) and his wife, Rossie HOLIC came to America, they settled at
Schulenburg, Texas, and were the proud parents of my grandfather,
Frank Louis TILICH, born 28 October 1908, and two brothers, Joe
and Willis (I do not know their full names, and believe that
Willis may have been a middle name.) I have seen my family spell
their name quite differently, some as TILICH, others TYLICH,
still some TYLICK and even TYLI or TILI. I am not sure which way
my great-grandfather spelled his name. Also, in this same time
frame of emigration my other great-grandparents came from Czech
to America. Joe PECHA and his wife Josephine (I do not know her
maiden name), settled at Rosenburg, Texas and were the parents of
my grandmother Mary Jane PECHA, plus two sisters, Annie and
Francis, and a brother named Anton PECHA. Any information that
is known about these people, I would greatly appreciate, plus
even if someone can suggest where I may look for myself to find
this information. Thank you.

My great-great-great-grandparents emigrated to America sometime

STOLAR (born in the early 1800's) and his wife (?) and 8 of the
STOLAR children, John, (Jan), born 1844;
Katherine; William; Michael; Wesley; Josef; Ann and Mary. Their
sister, Barbara STOLAR JANSA emigrated
to America with her 2 children Anna and Josef JANSA in 1881. I
am not sure where in the Czech Republic
they were from, but I would appreciate any assistance in finding
out which town in Czech they are from. I
know that my g-g-grandfather Josef HADAC came over from Czech in
1884 at the age of 9 with his parents
Franzica and Vincent HADAC and his 2 brothers Vincenz, Stefan and
2 sisters Maria and Franzca. Thanks in
advance

residence was at Niedak, Czech, although he may have been from
Bestricia Czech. It is also rumored that he changed his last
name for some unknown reason, I would appreciate any information
that I can receive regarding him.
Also my grandmother Susanna LABAY (Lyzbicki) was born 28 April
1892 at Grodek, Czech. She immigrated to the U.S. and entered
the U.S. at New York, N.Y. under the name of Zuzana LABAJ on 5

PACKNETT, Don S.
eMail address: Don-Packnett@prodigy.net
My great great grandfather, Joseph PETNICE, was born in
Austria-Hungary in 1818. His wife Mary (born 1821, maiden name
unknown) was also born there. Their Reise-Pass, dated 7 December
1867, for travel to St. Louis, shows the town, Horazdovic
(Horazdovice, Czech Republic?), and the office, Keesniurad,
on the Royal Seal of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Seven children are
also listed on the Reise-Pass: Charles, Frank, Joe, Billy, Annie,
Bell, and Mollie. Charles (born 1853 or 1854) was my great
grandfather. We next found Charles (last name now spelled
PACKNETS) and his family in the 1880 Federal census for Carroll
County, Mississippi, which also included my grandfather, John,
born there in 1879. Charles and John (named now spelled
PACKNITT) were at Eagletown, McCurtain County, OK in 1897 when
John was married to Belle PINKARD. The 1910 McCurtain County
census shows Charles and his wife Sarah (born 1855) along
with John and Belle and their five children, including my father,
William S. PACKNETT (born 1907). Charles (last name now spelled
PACKNETT) died 16 November 16, 1930 and is buried at the

have any connection to relatives in The Czech Republic. Thank
you for any information or sources of information that you may be
able to provide.

eMail address: pospichal@doubled.com
Jan (In U.S., John) POSPICHAL was my great-grandfather and I
would like to contact any of his relatives in Eastern Europe and
discover his lineage. I have the birth certificate of one of his
sons, Joseph, my grandfather. It lists my great grandfather
thus, "Jan POSPICHAL, chalupnik z Bele c.18, syn Kateriny
POSPICHALOVE z Polanket c.5." Following is more information:
John Pospichal: Joseph and Betty's Grandpa (in photo as Grandpa
John - born 1855 in Europe, died 1940 at Omaha, Nebraska). He
worked tailoring Austro-Hungarian army uniforms in Bohemia or
Austria and emigrated (circa 1888?) to America from either
Austria or Bohemia, bringing Mary, the eldest female daughter, to
cook and clean. They settled in Omaha, him working as a tailor,
and then brought the rest of the family (c 1896??) through the
emigration entry points of either Baltimore or Ellis Island. He
lived 85 years, 44 in America. Please advise if you can be of
assistance.

I am looking for information on the Joseph RAMBOUSEK family. He
and his wife, Marie SRSEN Rambousek
emigrated to the United States in 1888 with their children,
Agnes, Joseph, and Mary. They also brought his
mother, Anna KREKEROVA Rambousek and her mother, Theresa
HUNCOVSKY Srsen BENES. Their
husbands, Vaclav Rambousek and Frank Srsen both died in mill
accidents in
the Czech village in the Ukraine where they all lived before
coming to the United States. Theresa (Huscovsky)
Srsen then married (in the Ukraine) Joseph Benes who had two
sons, Jan and Josef. Theresa also left three
adult children, Lenhardt, Rose, and Theresa (Rose or Theresa
married a man named Peter DVORAK) in that
Czech village which was named Czechohrad. Czechohrad was renamed
Novgorodkivka in 1946. Their
primary language was
Bohemian and know that Anna (Krekerova) Rambousek was born in
Chrudim in Bohemia around 1841. I
believe her son Joseph Rambousek was born in Czechohrad in the
Ukraine. The renamed village of
Novgorodkivka in the Ukraine was described by older family
members as on parcel 38, located 21 kilometers
west of Melitopol. I can see it on a map of the Ukraine. I
would like to locate someone from there so that I
might learn more about my
family members who did not come to the United States. And, if
anyone knows how to make eMail contacts
with someone in Chrudim in the Czech Republic, please let me
know. Names of other friends or relatives
who came to the United States in 1888 with the Rambousek and
Srsen families are Vaclav (WENZEL)
SADOWSKY, Joseph PAVLISH, John KINZEL and his son John Kinzel,
Jr., Joseph HUSCHKA, Fred
KOSTELECKY and Vincent URBANEC.

Their names were John and Mary PRENOSIL and they brought with
them there children, John, Mary and Stanislav (Stan). My
grandfather was born in 1869 and immigrated to the US at about
the age of fourteen so it would have been about 1883 that they
immigrated. My Grandfather married Justine CERMAK also from

Paul BLASKO (born 27 September 1885, died 8 October 1941)
emigrated from Austria-Hungary, married Mary
MONDICH (born 16 November 1895, died 5 August 1977) in the United
States in 1914 or 1915. They lived in
Connecticut where they had relatives, then to Ohio, then to
Indiana. His parents were Charles Blasko and
Helen EASIK. Her parents were Charles Mondich and Helen CHRABA.
Charles Mondich held the job of
postmaster of his town. We are unsure of the spellings and the
exact towns: Velki Komjat
and Kopanija. My grandparents spoke Hungarian, Slovak, and
Russian fluently. I have also seen these names
on a marriage certificate listing their parents as Basil Blasko
and Helen CHIRABO; her parents as Basil
Mondich and Helen ISAACK (since this marriage took place in New
Jersey, USA these could be misspellings
or the wrong certificate). This is all I know. It's been very
hard for me to find anything out bcause everyone
has died, and my mother is now 80 and has Alzheimer's so
her memory comes and goes. I'd like to fnd relatives or just
find something or somewhere where my
grandparents came from. Blasko could have been shortened when he
arrived in the United States, and I can't
find Mondich listed anywhere. Thanks for your help.
