Acknowledgement:FEEFHS extends its
sincere thanks to Tim Presber, a FEEFHS volunteer indexer of Calgary, Alberta,
Canada for indexing this film. He used a laptop computer at the Calgary Family
History Center. This is an indexing "work product" of Project A-2 (the second
filming of die Ahnenstammkartei des Deutschen Volkes) and the first
indexing project of the entire collection to be posted on the
web.
Background die Ahnenstammkartei des Deutschen Volkes
(about 1240 microfilm reels) is the largest German pedigree collection extant.
This film "SF-4", comes from a "second filming" of pedigrees from Die
Ahnenstammkartei. This second filming consists of 19 Microfilms (numbers 1981701
through 1981719). They were NOT INCLUDED in the "first filming" and thus are NOT
in Edlund's original Introduction and Register as filmed and as printed
in October 1995, nor in the April 1997 FHLC on CD-ROM.
At the present
time these FEEFHS web pages are the only indexes in existence for any of these
nineteen films.
Contents of This Film: This film is known to
contain the pedigrees of at least 13 families. This pedigree, AL-11403 - the
Tobias Seidel submission - is on six files.
Understanding the Format
below:
- Surname, First Name ... an traditional alphabetical listing of all
persons included.
- Vital Date: - given to help identify the given individual.
- B = Birth
- M = Marriage
- D = Death
- Example: 1783B = born in 1783

Empire).
- Ahnentafeln (AL) Manuscript Number: The manuscript number given to
this pedigree by the Deutsche Zentralstelle für Genealogy in Leipzig

Now that I have found
this, What next should I do???: If you have found a person of interest, you
have several options:
- At Liepzig, Germany: view the original pedigree at the Deutsche
Zentralstelle für Genealogie in Leipzig, Germany using this AL number.
- At Salt Lake City, Utah: find FHL microfilm #1981704 in the
microfilm stacks at the FHL (Family History Library - downtown on West Temple
Street) on Level B-1 and view it for more details.
- At any FHC: visit any of the 2,900+ LDS Family History Centers
(FHC's) worldwide and order out this film on loan from the FHL (for a small
fee) for viewing at that FHC during their normal visiting hours.
