I am seeking information on John AULT / ALT born in Hanover circa
1805 (according to the 1880 Federal census of St. Louis
Missouri). John married Mary ? , born about 1803 Prussia. Their
children: Christian, born about 1833. Prussia; Frederick, born
about 1843. Prussia; and William, born about 1830. Prussia who
married Louisa, born about 1840, Hessian; their children were
George William, born about 1857 in Massachuesetts and Josephine,
born about 1859 in Pennsylvania. Another possible relative is
Michael AULT / ALT born about 1815 Prussia. The above AULTs are
found at Perryopolis Pennsylvania in 1860, John's and William's
families were at Chicago Illinois in 1870 and also at St. Louis
Missouri in 1880. Any replies appreciated.

I am searching for information on Johann Heinrich Konrad
KAPPMEYER, born 7 November 1816 at Eltze,
Hannover. He emigrated to New Braunfels, Texas in April 1846 and
was soon joined by his fiance,
Wilhelmina MEYER, born 16 May 1818 at Hildesheim, Hannover. They
were married 17 October 1846 in
New Braunfels. We have information on their children and
grandchildren (to some extent) but are trying to
trace Conrad back in Hannover. On the record of one son's
baptism Conrad is listed as coming from Wunstorf.
(The archivist copied the town as "Wuesdorf" but I've been told
there's no such town there; it was probably a
misreading of German script.) Family lore says Conrad attended
Wittenberg University to study theology
but ill health caused him to abandon that. An e-mail informed me
Eltze is now part of Uetze. Does the FHC
have any film on this?
Webmaster's Note: No microfilm records appear in the 16th
CD-ROM version of the FHL Catalog for
Eltze, Uetze or Wunstorf. However the Kappmeyer surname is
mentioned once (FHL microfilm 0962152, item
7) in the FHLC surname search section. Genealogy for that
surname may well exist within the larger body of
surnames in Ahnenstammkartei
des Deutschen Volkes

Hannover in the fall of 1838 with their children Mary RUEHLMANN
(born 15 August 1835) and John B. RUEHLMANN (born 3 August 1837).
Susanna WOLKEN RUEHLMANN was pregnant when they left and her
third child was born at Cincinnati, Ohio, USA about 6 weeks after
their arrival. Religion - Roman Catholic. Once in America,
their children assumed the name RUHLMAN.

I am looking for the village where my ancestors came from.
Christian DEPPE was born 18 November 1817
and married Caroline BAKKE (born in 1923). They had 7 children
(six of whom were born in Germany):
Christian, Caroline, Louisa, Dorothea, Sophie, August, Minnie,
and Herman (U.S.) I have reviewed their
immigration papers, passenger lists, census records, death
certificates etc. that I could find. ALL of them list
Hannover as the place of origin. I had someone check the town of
Hannover church records and they could not
find a listing for my relative. I now assume they were from the
Kingdom of Hannover. But where?

I am searching for the parents of Louise and Adolph RODEWALD who
were born in Hannover and emigrated
to the US, arriving at New York City on the bark "Union" 1 June
1855. They departed from Bremen on 4
April. Louise was born 11 May 1831, and her brother Adolph on 18
Nov 1828, I believe in the village of
Rodewald. Adolph's naturalization state he was born in
"Interbash," but that was an English speaking clerk
talking to a German speaker, so that was what the place name
sounded like. Any information on the family
RODEWALD or the village Rodewald would be helpful. I have
RODEWALD information from
Schloss-Kirchenbach but have not found it helpful.

I am looking for information about the parents of Anna Tjabbine
SPIER who emigrated with the siblings
Steinetta, Albertus, and Steinetta's husband Jon RAND to the USA,
arriving 23 August 1894. They sailed from
Breman Germany to Baltimore Maryland aboard the ship "Stuttgart".
Their parents were TJARBE and
SJAMKE (FREASMANN) SPIER. I believe that they lived at
Stapelmoor, Heide, (Hannover) Germany.
Tjarbe's father was Robert SPIER, a veterinarian and merchant at
Stapelmoor, Heide Germany. TJARBE was
born 3 October 1836 and died 4 February 1880. I would especially
like to find his obituary. He died at
Stapelmoor. I would like the obituary of Robert also, but have
no date of death. I hope I have included all the
necessary information. Thanks

I am researching the family of George Frederick (Georg
Friederich?) HÜLSEBERG (also spelled HÜLSBERG,
HUELSEBERG, HUELSBERG) born 25 June 1859 at the Village of
Freschluneberg (or Frischlüneberg) in the Lutheran Parish of
Beverstedt in the Kingdom of Hannover. (See the web
page on him at: http://genweb.net/~turner/hulsebrg.htm). The LDS
has filmed portions of the Beverstedt records, but not the years
when George's parents were married, or when George and his 8-9
siblings were born. Can anyone suggest how I can get copies of
these church records? Does anyone know how to get copies of the
Beverstedt civil records? The LDS did film some earlier records,
so I have George's father's birth record: Johann Hinrich Bernhard
HÜLSEBERG, born 10 November 1837 Frischlüneberg,
Hannover, and some records for earlier generations (Look under
HÜLSEBERG in my online genealogy database at:
http://genweb.net/~turner/turner.htm).

I am seeking information on this family. I have been unable to
locate hometown in the kingdom of Hannover or any more family
information or relatives. Casper Vogt was born 6 April 1842 in
the kingdom of Hannover. His father: Conrad Leonardi VOGT. His
mother: Elizabeth Anne MENSING / KLONNING or GEISLING. His
sister: Gertrude VOGT. His relative: Christing VOGT of Baden.
Casper emigrated to America at age 20 years. He came directly to
Cincinnati, Ohio and lived the rest of his life there. He
married Mary DUVEL. Her father was John Henry DIECKMAN /
DIECKMANN DUVEL of Hunteburg. Her mother was Mary Adelheid
REUVERS. Mary Adelheid's father was John REUVERS and they
emigrated to America in 1850. Casper's business associates were
August MUELLER and Albert KRUSLING. Mary Duvel was Roman
Catholic. Casper may have been Roman Catholic but may have
converted from Lutheran as he asked to be creameted at his
death-a procedure that the catholic church was strongly against
at that time. I would be grateful for any information at
all.
