I am searching for any information on the family of Henry VON
DULLEN. Henry was born in Hannover about 1833. He emigrated
to New Orleans, Louisiana. I do not have year and do not know if
he came with his parents. Henry married Catherine ?, (born
November 1836) at New Orleans. A 1880 Orleans Parish census
shows Catherine was from Baden and emigrated to New Orleans in
1859. Henry and Catherine had the following children:
Caroline born February 1863, married Charles DANNEMANN on 1
February 1883; Henry, born about 1865; John born about 1868;
Charles born February 1870; Adam born October 1873, married
Pauline BURKART (my line); and Fred born about 1876. All
children were born at New Orleans, LA.

I am looking for the family of Philipp BROUWER. He was born in
1860 at Wymeer, Germany. He went to the Netherlands after that.
What I am looking for are the names of his parents and his
brothers and sisters. I was hoping maybe a birth record would
show this information. I just don't know where to get it. Any
help would be wonderful. Philipp first married Tetje LUTJEBOER
in 1883. She died and he then married Martha ROELFSEMA in 1885.
Thank you for you time.

I am searching for a Heinrick KLINGENBERG born circa 1832 in
Hanover. He married but his wife seems to constantly change her
name on the birth certificates of her children. She starts off
as Marie RASCH and ends up as Mary Rush. Their eldest child,
Henry William KLINGENBERG (this could also be Heinrick Wilhelm)
was born circa 1859 in Germany. The couple's next child is born
in Lancashire England 4 February 1860 so they had to leave
Germany sometime between 1859 and very early 1860. Does this
ring any bells with anyone? I have heaps of information to
share. Hope to hear from someone.
BEENE, Vickie

I am looking for the SCHUMACHER family. Wilhelm J. Schumacher
was born in Hannover around the year 1821. He emigrated to the
United States before 1842.
BEZJIAN, Susan

I am searching for the first wife of my great great
grandfather. Her name was Wilhelmine Marie Dorothee (nee RUST)
HEIDEMANN, born 11 November 1824 at Helsdorf, Hanover, Germany.
Her husband was Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm HEIDEMANN, born at
Steimbke. They married 13 May 1849 and emigrated to America
(Chicago) in May or June 1859. I would like to know of records
of Wilhelmine Marie Dorothee between 1849-1859.
I am also looking for the records of Heinrich Carl DITTMER,
married in Germany to Marie HASSELBRING. They had three
children, Heinrich (1849); Maria Dorothea (1853); and August
(born and died in Germany in 1855). I am searching for records
of his death and ancestry prior to 1820. His son, Heinrich was
born at Eilvese, Hanover, Germany.
BRKOVIC, Sue

i am looking for my greatgrandmother MARY EHLEN, she was born
in Hannover aproximately 1891-1893, more likely 1893. Her father
was Johann EHLEN, born 5 June 1836 at Oldenddorf and died 3
november 1896 at Fondulac Wisconsin. Mother Anna
SCHRODER was born 28 November 1878. The paternal grandparents
Johann and Anna KUCHS. Mary's had three kids, Emma, Walter and
Hattie. Her spouse was William Mitchell BARR. She had 6-7
siblings, Rose, Jacob, Carl, Henrich, Katherine, John and Anna.
It is believed she may have died at Fondulac Wisconsin. We know
nothing about her other than these few things. Any information
will be appreciated.
BYKER, John A.

I think my family tree contains several persons named BENTHEIMER
from Germany and I'm just beginning to have a better
understanding of these special people from my Dutch background.
I want to know more and I'm asking for advice or how to find out
more information on the following Bentheimers:
Evert ZAGERS (my 3rd great grandfather) -- born 23 July 1814 in
Gross Ringe, Bentheim, died 10 March 1884 at Graafschaap,
Michigan. He emigrated with A. Van RAALTE on the ship
"Southerner" in 1846. He married Hilligje POPPEN
(another Bentheimer from Kleine Ringe) on 19 December 1847 at
Zeeland, Michigan. Evert ZAGER's parents were Jan Hendrik ZAGERS
and Jenne KLOMPARENS.
Geert DEITERS (my 2nd great grandfather) -- born 7 August 1840 at
Nordhorn (or Hesepe) Graftshaft, died 7 August 1914 at Fremont,
Michigan. I was told he emigrated on 22 May 1865 and was married
on 12 November 1868 to Alice ZAGERS at Graafschaap, Michigan, the
oldest daughter of Evert and Hilligje ZAGERS. I think Geert
DEITERS' father's name was Harm or Hendrik and his mother's name
was probably Eefje. How could I find out from which port or boat
he emigrated on 22 May 1865 and also his parents' names?
Steven SCHNIEDERS (my great grandfather) -- born 4 August 1862 in
Georgsdorf, Germany and died 8 Nov 1949 in Sioux Center, Iowa.
He married Hilligje "Helen" DEITERS on 17 Feb 1889 at Fremont,
Michigan. She was the oldest daughter of Geert and Alice ZAGERS
DEITERS.Steven emigrated from Georgsdorf, Germany around 1882 to
escape military service (I was told). His father was probably
Harm SCHNIEDERS and his mother was either Bertha MEENDERING or
Bertha MOSS. Their family belonged to the Reformed Church
at Georgsdorf. Changed his name to SNIEDERS in the USA! How
can I find out when and from where he emmigrated (probably in
1882?) and also his parents' names/
I would like to take these lines back further, but I don't
know were to begin. Can you give me some advice or point me in
the right direction and to the right person. I have limited
funds to pay a professional genealogist for this since this is
just my hobby. I want to know much more about my "Bentheimer"
blood-lines and about what qualities they have. I've been
impressed how many Bentheimers were part of the early Dutch
"Kolonie" in the 1840-1880's in Michigan.

I am seeking information about Heinrich BAUERSCHMIDT born at
Cadenberge, Germany 14 October 1876. HGis parents were Wilhelm
BAUERSCHMIDT and Anna BOTTGER. Heinrich BAUERSCHMIDT emigrated
to the United States 10 January 1890 and was naturalized
under the name Henry BAUERSCHMIDT 14 January 1902 at the
U.S. District Court, New York, N.Y. Heinrich BAUERSCHMIDT
married Aususta BOGEL, who was also born at Cadenberge,
Germany, in New York City 5 December 1906 at St. Paul's
Church located at 16 East 112th Street. The marriage
certificate states that Heinrich BAUERSCHMIDT was in the
liquor business. No further information is known about
Heinrich and Augusta BAUERSCHMIDT. U.S. Census searches for
1920 in New York and nearby New Jersey and Connecticut have
been without avail. One possibility is that BAUERSCHMIDT
returned to Germany sometime after his naturalization and
remained in Germany.

I am looking for information and ancestry on: Frederick KNIGGE,
born 1831 in Hannover. His spouse was Maria Sophia (HAHNE)
KNIGGE, born 17 November 1839 in Hannover, died 5 March 1919 at
Fort Dodge, Iowa.
KASAMEYER, Paul and Ann

eMail address: kasameyer@alum.mit.edu
I am searching for information about my Great-grandfather who
we know as Conrad KASAMEYER (possibly KASEMEYER, KAESEMEYER,
KESEMEYER). He was born in 1844 in Hannover (either city or
kingdom). About 1870, he married Elizabeth (TOPPMEYER) who was
born in Prussia in about 1854, and emigrated to the United
States, living first near Cincinatti Ohio, then moving to Terre
Haute, Indiana. He may have traveled with his sister Sophie, and
brothers Fred and Henry. Other common names in the family are
Wilhemine and William. Any information that might be helpful
would be appreciated.
KENNEY, Carol RITSERT

I am looking for information regarding STARK, Ernest born 1829
in Hannover. His wife's name was Amelia - born 1836 in England.
Their children are listed as Amelia, born 1859 at New York City
and Ernest born 1863 at New York City. This information was
found on the 1870 NY census. Thank you kindly.

I seek information on Marlies KRUSE, born 1935. Last contact
was in 1947 by her father, Albert KRUSE, in a letter to my
ancestor, Frederich MILLER (USA spelling) in the state of
Nebraska. Mr. KRUSE said his bakery in Hannover had been
destroyed by bombs, but his daughter, Marlies (age 12) had
been sent into the countryside earlier. In the letter, Albert
KRUSE mentions his uncle, Frederich MILLER'S visit to Germany
before the war. Frederich and Augusta MILLER visited Germany
in 1911 and 1914. I have Jerxheim Evangelical (Lutheran)
church documentation that Frederich and Augusta MILLER were
married at Jerxheim 7 July 1871. Also, that Frederich was from
Lenne.
LOOKHOFF, Jeffrey
eMail address: jjandzaida@msn.com
I need information on LOOKHOFF, John Henry or (LOOKHOF, Johann
Heinrich) born 1847 in Hannover, Germany. He emigrated to New
York from Bremen, Germany 2 May 1873 on the ship "Rheine". The
1880 US Federal census has him married to KARSTEN, Mary W. (age
27) on 1 April 1877 at Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. His
occupation was a butcher. They lived on Bergen Avenue, Jersey
City, New Jersey, USA and had a son named Henry (age 2) and a son
named Charles (age 1). Any information on his parents in
Hannover would be greately appreciated.
LUKEN, Tina
eMail address: tinalu@bellsouth.net
I am interested in Arend Hanen LUKEN (LUCKEN), born 1809?,
who emigrated to Terre Haute, Indiana in 1846 from Amdorff in
the Kingdom of Hanover. Arend founded the German Lutheran
Church in Terre Haute and was their first pastor. He died in
1887 at age 78. He was also a teacher. He had a daughter,
Elizabeth, and a son, John. As far as his wife, I'm not sure.
Taton was living in his household in 1860. She was 39 years old
when Arend was 52. There was a 4 year old daughter at
that time, Elizabeth. In the 1870 census, Taton has
disappeared and now there is Petirka who is 49. She is listed
as a housekeeper, but now there is another child, John, who is
7 years old.
I am trying to find a link to Arend Hanen LUKEN and Johann R.
LUKEN. I believe they are brothers, but neither has parents
listed on their death certificates. They both emigrated to the
US at the same time and lived very near each other in Terre
Haute, Indiana.

Ludolph LONGHENRY (LANGENHEINREICH) was born at Odesheisen
Hanover Germany and emigrated to the USA in 1857 at the age of
36. He settled at Platteville, Wisconsin while his two brothers
Gerhard and Joachim remained in Germany.
In 1861 he volunteered and was assigned to Company C of the
Platteville Guard. Company C arrived at Camp Randall in Madison,
WI and joined companies from Stroughton, Stevens Point,
Lancaster, Fennimore, Beloit and one from Dane County to complete
the 7th Regiment of Wisconsin. The 19th Regiment of Indiana and
the 2nd, 6th, and 7th Regiments of Wisconsin were known as "The
Iron Brigade" of the Civil War. At the end of the Civil War
and his enlistment, he returned to Platteville where he met
and married Wilhelmine (Minnie) ROGER. Ludolph and Minnie were
married 27 April 1866 and settled in Platteville where
they raised a family of 1 daughter and 7 sons.
Wilhelmine (Minnie) H. (RATJE) ROGER was born in Dugon Hanover
Germany and emigrated to the USA in 1855 at the age of 3. Minnie
was the oldest of 8 children (2 girls and 6 boys) born to
William (RATJE) ROGER and Patricia Jane Millwright ROGER.
RATJE is the German spelling of the Roger name.

I am looking for birthplace in the Kingdom of Hanover for
Nicholas BOODY (BOODE / BOUTE / BUDDE) and his wife Margaret.
They were Protestant, and by 1820 belonged to a Methodist church
at Oneida, New York. All of their children were born in the
Oneida County, NY area. He lists Hanover as his place of birth,
in 1754. Their first child was born in NY in 1792. I have found
very little information on them prior to this and don't know
where else to look. Nicolas moved to Eaton Coounty Michigan in
1837, and became one of the first settlers in the county. There
is much information is written on them, but nothing tells his
birthplace or the time and place of immigration. I've run into
many BOODY researchers on the web, all related to this family,
but everyone's information stops where mine stops! If you can
help, please reply.

My ancestors were born at Selsingen, Bremervorde, Germany and
emigrated to Benton County, Missouri, United States in 1862.
They boarded the "Eliza and Mathilda" under Captain George
Nordenholt at Bremen 25 August 1862 and arrived at New
York, United States 16 October 1862. They are listed on
the passenger list: Johann LANGE, age 30, workman; Adelheid(2)
KRENTZEL LANGE, age 30, wife; Adelheid(3) LANGE, age 2, daughter;
Anna LANGE, age 6 months, daughter. Bernhardt KRENTZEL, age 54,
butcher; Adelheid (1) KRENTZEL, age 55, wife. Bernhardt and
Adelheid (1) KRENTZEL were the parents of Adelheid (2) KRENTZEL
LANGE. Two-year-old Adelheid (3) LANGE died on the voyage and
was buried at sea. A subsequent daughter was named after her.
The Bernhardt and Adelheid (1) KRENTZEL had other children who
had already settled in Benton County, Missouri.
Margarette KRENTZEL had arrived in July. She was married to
Christoph BRANDT. They had a son, possibly named Friedrich,
who had arrived even earlier and married Rebecca
KROCAHKEN.
I am looking for information Johann LANGE (1832-1907),
especiallly his parents and any siblings he might have had. I
am also looking for more information on Bernhardt and Adelheid
(1) KRENTZEL. They were all Lutheran.

(Roman Catholic)
I am looking for information on the ancestors of Heinrich
Joseph FLAGGE born 20 February 1851. He died 5 January
1920. There is documentation showing he married Anna Sophia
STERNITZKI 18 January 1874 at Saint Clemens Church (Catholic) in
Hannover, Germany. They had 3 children that were christened
during the year of their birth at the same church. 1) Heinrich
Theodore Louis FLAGGE, born 1 August 1878; 2) Carl Heinrich
August FLAGGE, born 14 August 1880; 3) Maria Helene FLAGGE born
28 November 1882. I have most information from this on to
present date, but am trying to research further back up the line
before Heinrich Joseph FLAGGE. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.
OTTEN, Wayne H.
eMail address: WOtten2656@aol.com
I am researching the history of my grandfather, Johann OTTENS,
born 12 May 1863. He emigrated to the United States through
the port of Bremen in 1880, arriving Southhampton, New York on
the vessel "General Werder" on 30 April 1880. At the time of
his arrival he was 16 years old. He originated from the
Prussian province of Hannover and his occupation was listed as
farmer. Mr. OTTENS settled at St. Louis and in 1899 or 1900
married Mathilda RICKERT. They had two children, John and
Viola. Mr. OTTENS died in St. Louis on 21 July 1933. Any
information would be appreciated.

children, who were also born in Hannover, are: Wilhelm
RUEBUSCH, born 28 January 1847; Henry Franz RUEBUSCH, born about
1850; Dietrich RUEBUSCH, born about 1853; Charles RUEBUSCH born
about 1856 and George RUEBUSCH, born about 1862. The family

eMail address: siefkas@iland.net
I am looking for anyone who emigrated from Germany with the
last name SIEFKAS, SIEFKES, or SEAFKAS. I am told that my
Great-great-great grandfather Frank F. SIEFKAS was born 11
January 1833 somewhere around Hanover, Germany. Frank F. SIEFKAS
married Etta TODDEN in 1856 at Fairbury (Livingston County)
Illinois. Etta TODDEN was born 3 October 1837 in Hanover,
Germany. Frank F. SIEFKAS could possibly have a brother by the
name of Jacob SIEFKAS. Jacob SIEFKAS was married to a woman by
the name of Antoinette. Jacob had a daughter and a son. The
daughter's name was Hannah SIEFKAS, and the son's name was
Franz SIEFKAS. I do not know what Christian faith Frank F.
SIEFKAS was, but more than likely he was a Protestant. Any
information that might link my ancestry back to Europe will be
greatly appreciated.

I am searching for information regarding Dora BEHN. She was
born at Wittenwater, Hannover Germany in 1881 and emigrated to
the US in 1890 aboard the ship "Main". She departed Hamburg
accompanied by her brother John Henry Christopher BEHN, a lady
named Margaret and another young girl named Maria. I do not know
Margaret's relationship however I believe Maria may have been a
sibling. Dora's parents were Henry BEHN and Chatarina MULLER
BEHN. Chatarina never came to the US and may be buried in or
around Wittenwater. The family was Lutheran.
THAMAN, Sharon
eMail address: SThaman@aol.com
We are searching for information concerning Wilhelm THAMANN.
We know very little about this man other than that he was born
in Germany, emigrated to United States (date not known),
declared his intention to become a U.S. citizen thereby
renouncing his allegiance to the King of Hannover (in June
1848); married Bernardina ERPENBECK in June 1845 at St. Louis,
MO, and they had at least two children (one of whom was my
husband's gr grandfather).
The only things we know about Wilhelm THAMANN are that he
emigrated to the United States in the early 1800s. We have a
copy of his intention to become a U.S. citizen and it is dated
20 June 1848. We also have a copy of his marriage record on
23 June 1843. That marriage (to Bernardina ERPENBECK) took
place at St. Louis Missouri. We are at a complete standstill as
to his parents, etc. Can anyone help?

Hamberg in April 1881. She was 8 years old and taken out of a

1949.
I could not get any information on who she was traveling with or

told me she was brought hear to be a nanny, but she would have

alone, she must have been with someone. I hope you can help
