I am searching for the ancestors of Johannes Paulus BLOEM (BLOHM
?) from either Krefeld or Elberfeld in Germany. John Bloem (Lt.
Col. João Bloem in Brazil) arrived at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on
March 23, 1823 at age 24, settling here until his death at Porto
Alegre, R.S. in 1851. The only information I have about his
ancestry is his father's name - Mateus Bloem (Portuguese
spelling). Other than that I know nothing about the family in
Germany. Documents here show various spellings of his name
> including Blohm. Documents show birthplace both Krefeld and
Elberfeld and birth year between 1795 and 1799. I am
specifically interested in obtining a birth certificate for him
so I can discover his mother's name and any other pertinent
information that can help me on my research in Germany and The
Netherlands. If anyone can inform me where I might get birth
information, I would appreciate it. I am researching: Bloem
(Brazil, Krefeld and Elberfeld (Alemanha / Deutschland) and its
variations: Blohm, Boloem, Pluim, Blumm, Blom, Blum; Albuquerque
(Brazil and Portugal), Azevedo e Costa Leite (Brazil and Mondim
de Bastos, Portugal).

My grand grand father was Adalbert EYMAEL. Adalbert was born at
Witllich in 1841. His parents were John Wilhelm Eymael and
Elizabeth BERRES. The parents of Elizabeth Berres were John
Berres and Elizabeth SCHIMTZ of Germany. The parents of John
Whilhelm was Mathias Joseph Eymael and Elizabeth WHIGEN. John
Wilhelm Eymael and his parents were from Holland. Adalbert
emigrated to Brazil from Germany, around 1865 / 1869. He lived
in Ürzig, near Mosel (his house, today is called Monchöf). I
need know what the right date of his departure and what was the
ship. His brother, John Eymael, came to Brazil later by way of
the Port of Hamburg in 1872.

I am looking for Richard Edward DINGER from Solingen. My
grandfather, Richard Edward DINGER (or maybe Edward Richard
Dinger), was born at Solingen, Germany between 1870-1880. He
imimgrated to the > Western Hemisphere (United States & Central
America) as a young man, > worked his way up from ordinary seaman
to become a captain of a"banana" boat in Central America in the
early 1900's. He met my grandmother, Clara GONZALES, in Panama,
Republic of Panama, married and had two children. During World
War I his ship was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-boat in the
Caribbean Sea; during this event he drowned. At the time he was
employed by the United Fruit Company, who I understand > employed
many German nationals. I would appreciate any information on
this man's family. Thank you.

I am looking for any information on a Wilhelm SCHELL, born 22
August 1834 at Burtscheid Ashen, Rheinland, Preussen. His
father: Johannn Albert SCHELL and his mother: Maria Sybilla
MILCHERS. wilhelm was supposed to have immigrated to America in
18?? with his two brothers also seeking names of these brothers.
We have found Wilhelm in the State of Georgia USA census in 1880
but by that time he already had a son that was 12 years old so do
not have any information on the time he was born until 1880.
Thank you.
