Miriam Hall-Hansen

 

Miriam Hall-Hansen has been a genealogist for 30 years. She has served as a volunteer at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City for the last ten years. She has assisted in the compilation of the Mecklenburg Gazetteer and with the cataloging of the microfilmed duplicate records of the mostly German Lutheran Consistory of St. Petersburg, which included not only Western Russia but also the entire Black Sea area and Ukraine and a part of Finland.

 

Miriam has taught genealogy classes in the Salt Lake City school system and for the Family History Library. Her education included attendance at the Utah Technical College and the University of Utah.


She lectured on the St. Petersburg Consistory microfilms at the FEEFHS 1995 Canadian Conference at Calgary, Alberta.
She lectured on "Volhynian-German Genealogy" and "Volga German Genealogy" at the FEEFHS 1996 International Convention at Minneapolis.
