John and Sister Lucy -=-

Greetings from Hays, America -=-

The latest letter from Chelyabinsk to me is so full of genealogical inspiration that I am sending it AS IS to FEEFHS. -- whose e-mail userID is [feefhs@wheel.dcn.davis.ca.us] In the tracings at the top of his letter to Sr. Lucy and me on 17 April under the heading "From" is...{ the FEEFHS [userID]. }... One should be able thus to find the userID of every correspondent.

Incidentally, the "long one" with the tilda ("raised upper level dash") is an Internet address (or URL) for the WWW (web). They all start with http:// The Internet and World-Wide Web is a whole 'nother world waiting for Lucy and our other co-workers in Asian Russia.

Dear Father Blaine,

I just reread John Movius' letter to our congregation about the potency of the five Easter letters I wrote. Every day in our prayer to St. Agnes, we address God "Who chooses the weak ones of the world to confound the strong." Those words of St. Paul, whose letters, also in unanticipated, barrier-breaking outreach, have new meaning for me. Also, Jesus as Word makes flesh tingle with new vibrancy and stirs in my heart deep gratitude for the human power to say words, write thoughts, eMail experiences to bond people in deeper relationships and love.

I wanted to write to John Movius but do not have his simple eMail address. I do not think I can type the long one with the raised, upper level dash. Perhaps you can convey my deep thanks to him. As I told you, I say to him, that electronically you can be on MISSION and MISSIONARY TRIPS beyond the ken or wildrest dreams of even that visionary "Apostle of the Gentiles"

Mr. Wesinger, the chief artist-architect of our new church is here from Germany with a young engineer, aluminum-steel roof architect to help our builders continue building the roof, a first experience for this area. The church will be the first of its kind, of unique construction for Chelyabinsk.

I met Franz Wesinger the first time last night at the fellowship after the evening Russian Mass at the priests' house. There is only the difference of "e" and "a" in our family names. He is devoutly Catholic and from Bavaria. Joseph Wasinger of the Kansas Wasingers came from that area to Russia in 1763 at the invitation of Katherine the Great.

I feel that time is exceedingly relative in the human experience and history, much more living than dead. In my Russian Scripture class ,the Gospel off Luke now, we are having the Genealogy of Jesus and its biblical significance.

For reflection on that Biblical text, I asked the young people for whom the Gospel is truly NEWS that is truly GOOD, to try to trace back as far as they can their own genealogy, family roots, and consider: How long have I been in the plan of God? Consider the chain of love that has loved me into life and into the person that I am today and have the continued call to become: daughter/son of God! Our Father! - in the Risen Lord Jesus.

As we continue liturgically journeying through our Easter Season, may our JOY and FAITH and GRATITUDE contiune to grow and deepen daily. Mine does as I experience the marvelous ways our God is alive and active in our history and in our world today.

Gratefully in the Risen Jesus.

Sister Lucy Ann Wasinger, C.S.A.
