I am looking for the relatives of my grandfather Ivan KUZMICH
KOLODYASNI, born 18 April 1883 at Yasynuvata. His mother was
Eudokia DZADEVITCH. He had one brother, Alexander KOLODYASNI,
and four sisters: Pasha, Lina, Neonily and Pola. He worked at
Yasynuvata railway station as telegrapher. He was imprisoned for
revolutionary uprising and escaped to Vladivostok in 1905. He
immigrated to Australia and changed his name to John MAKAROFF and
married Lydia Ivanova MOROVITSKAYA in 1909. Any help tracing his
siblings and their descendants would be appreciated.

(Russian Orthodox)
My husband's family is Russian Orthodox. Peter MICHALSKY
(spelling?) was born in 1880. One son, Paul MICHALSKY was born
in the former Austrian Empire. One sister, Julia, was born in
Russia, she was in trapped in Russia during the revolution, and
immigrated to Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. The family then
moved to Stamford Connecticut USA in 1920s ?. His childrem were
Peter, Anna, Paul, Stephen, Theodore and Lodge (Walter).
Webmaster's Note: Mentioning one vital date and name of an
ancestor is sufficient to obtain a posting here. But by holding
back other information, you greatly limit the chance of finding
another record searcher (with helpful information) by excluding
what else you do know - Peter's wife's full (maiden) name, what
is known of the vital dates (birth, marriage and death) and
locations for each, other siblings names, occupation and what is
known of the vitals and full names of the spouses of each
child.
The RUEERL (and the 60+ other Research Lists on this website
covering Central and Eastern Europe [CEE]) are not intended to be
surname lists, which is perilously close to what yous is. Rather
their promise is as real genealogy research lists, posting
genealogy details and summaries. All significant words are
indexed here for our Website Index (early every morning in Utah),
and on most major web search engines. "As the sowing, the
reaping".
GRIFFITHS, Sue

We are looking for family members with the names of ROSENSTREICH
and RASHEFSKY. David LEIB ROSENSTREICH was born 15 September
1882 near Lodz or Petrikow (Piotrkow) and Abraham RASHEFSKY /
RESHEFSKY, who may be related to Samuel Reshefsky, the (great,
former) chess master. Also in the RASHEFSKY or Rosenstreich
family was Hinda SCHWARTZ. I would appreciate any and all
help.

(Jewish)
My husband, Shmuel GUTFARB, was born 27 December 1943 at Kazan
Russia. He received his mother's maiden name - she was Peski
GUTFARB, who arrived there from Poland. After Wordl War II she
returned to Poland and in 1956 she immigrated to Israel. Please
help us to get any information about his family - birth record,
father - any piece of information will be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I am trying to find information on a Morris (Morriss) COHEN and
Rachel GALINSKI. They were born in Vilna Russia around the 1870
they were probably married around 1887 Rachel died around 1935;
its unknown when or wwhere Morris died. They left Vilna and
immigrated to Leeds, England prior to their first child being
born. Morris worked as a journeyman tailor in Leeds. They had 5
daughters, all born in Leeds: 1) Annie Esther Cohen, born 1890,
married Maurice ROSENBERG. They had 3 children: Rose Rosenberg
(1912), Seymour Rosenberg (later changed to ROSS), born 1917;
Betty Rosenberg, born 1926. 2) Sarah, married Simon ?; 3)
Gertrude, married Jack ?; 4) Celia, married Sydney SOLK; 5)
Bessie, married Jack FELDMAN. None of the daughters were born in
Russia. When they arrived in England the English put their name
down as Cohen. I am unsure if that is a correct spelling of the
Russian name and would like to find out where I might obtain
information of this family and their families, if any are still
in Russia. Recently I found out there was a brother of Rachel's
also in England. I do not have his first name, but he had a
daughter who married a Rosenberg (not related to my other
Rosenbergs) and they had a daughter named Anita who married a
Solomon. Thank you for any help.
