I am looking for information on Morris, Benajamin and a third brother, BOTHMAN, who came to the U.S. from Zhitomer, Ukraine. Morris was born in 1875 and left Zhitomer in 1893. He settled in St. Louis, Missouri and married Gertrude BEJACH, daughter of Abraham BEJACH (or BEJACK), of West Prussia. Benjamin BOTHMAN returned to the Ukraine. The third brother, went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, married Mary LANDAU, daughter of ______ LANDAU and Sarah _________ LANDAU. He was much older than Morris. I know that they changed their name when the came to the U.S. but I have not been able to find out what the original name was. I believe they changed the name letter by letter and then made changes to make it pronuncialble. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Maurine
I am searching for information about the BEJACH (or BEJACK) family. My great-grandfather was Abraham BEJACH or K from W. Prussia. He married Helena GOLDSMITH, of Germany. Abraham immigrated in 1863 and Helena arrived in 1865. Abraham was born 1842 and Helena was born 1849. Their children were: Gertrude, Martha, Sol, Harry, Simon and Joseph. Gertrude married Morris BOTHMAN and they had one child: Joseph Jacob BOTHMAN. None of the other siblings had any children. If anyone has information on Abraham it would be greatly appreciated.

Need help finding the place where relatives came from in Galicia.
Three children's birth records indicate that their parents came from Austria. One of these birth records is difficult to read but seems to read a town name of Gerhitahy or Gerlichy or some similar variation. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Philip NATOWICH (a.k.a. HNATOWYCZ), born about 1870 in Austria/Galicia, father: Antonio NATOWICH; mother: Lena KYZIWK.
Paiza WANCA (a.k.a. WANCIA) born September 18, 1885 in Austria/Galicia, father: Michael WANCA; mother: Farmir KACZUR.
It is possible that some of these names are not spelled correctly due to my interpretation of the handwriting in these records.
Thanks for your help! Kathy

The son, Franz II, had four marriages and 12 children all in Russia. I need more info on theWest Prussian and Russian areas. I have nothing on Franz I except that he published a math book. a copy of that math book is in the possession of Daniel Toavs {Toavs is the current spelling for the original Toews) in Petaluma, California.

Ukraine heritage is on maternal side. My Great Grandfather was Vladimir GONTARSKY married to Rose KOZY or KOZA. They lived in New Britain Conn. Great Grandfather died in 1949 and Great Grandmother died in 1970. Both are burried in St. Mary's Orthodox Catholic Church Cemetary. I have written to the church but they did not respond. They had three children Olga GONTARSKY (FAGAN) Stella GONTARSKY and Morris GONTARSKY. All three children were born in New Britain, CT. All are burried in St. Mary Cemetary. I know there are some relatives in Canada but I don't know exact location. My grandmother Olga GONTARSKY would talk about some of her cousins there.
If anyone can help me please contact me. I was very disappointed with not having any response from their church.
