New 2025 Conference Initiative - The Huddles
The Huddles
Our new initiative for 2025 provides even more benefits to attending for the FEEFHS Conference! Registrants will get to interact directly with experts in their specific areas of research! We are calling this initiative "The Huddles."
FEEFHS Conference attendees will have the opportunity to join designated Zoom breakout rooms, where they can ask experienced researchers general questions and get valuable advice on their family history projects. Whether registrants need new research ideas, want help overcoming a "brick wall," or simply wish to learn from others' questions, these sessions are designed to enhance the conference experience. Best of all—The Huddles are included with registration at no additional cost!
How It Will Work:
■  In 2025, the Huddle hour will be offered from 5:30–6:30pm MDT on two days: Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 7.
■  Each Huddle will focus on a different country, region or research topic.
■  Each Huddle will be moderated to help everyone have the chance to participate, if they would like, and benefit from the discussion.
■  Attendees will be able to ask questions live during the Huddle—or, for priority in the session, they can submit questions ahead of time. Just send them to info@feefhs.org with the subject line "Huddle questions."
■  Attendees will have the option to switch between the different Huddles during the hour.
Huddle Topics:
- Wednesday, August 6
■  Ukraine ■  Jewish Research ■  Russia ■  Baltics ■  Austrian Empire (not including Hungary)
Thursday, August 7
■  Poland ■  Germany ■  Hungary ■  Banat/Swabian ■  Germans from Russia (includes Black Sea, Volga, and Volhynia Germans)
We do not expect any changes to this line up, but registrants should be sure to check the conference schedule to confirm Huddle (or class) times and topics. More information will be provided to registrants closer to the Conference and posted to the website. We look forward to having you participate in our experiment for this online-only conference of 2025.
