Happy Holidays
Dear Friends,
As the year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you, our valued FEEFHS community. This season, no matter what holiday you celebrate, is a time that naturally invites gratitude and connection.
Genealogy is more than just charts and records! It is about memory and the stories that bind us together. Each discovery we make reminds us that we are part of something larger than ourselves. In many ways, family history embodies the spirit of the holidays. We honor the past, cherish the present, and look forward with hope.
I am deeply grateful for the enthusiasm you bring to this work. Your curiosity, your willingness to share knowledge, and your commitment to preserving your heritage are what makes FEEFHS such a meaningful organization. Together we keep East European history and tradition alive that might otherwise be lost. And in doing so, we give future generations the gift of knowing where they come from.
Looking ahead, I am excited to remind you that our annual conference will be held in person in August 2026 in Salt Lake City. This gathering is always the highlight of our year. You will have chances to learn through our educational classes, deepen your research skills, and most importantly, to connect with fellow genealogists and researchers. I hope you will join us there and be part of the exchange of knowledge and friendship that makes FEEFHS so special. Watch for announcements on our social media channels regarding registration and calls for presentations. Our website will be updated soon with further details.
As we step into a new year, may your research be fruitful, your connections meaningful, and your joy abundant. Whether you are spending your time with loved ones, revisiting old traditions, or enjoying a moment of rest, I hope you find warmth and peace during this season.
With heartfelt wishes,
Milan Pohontsch
President, FEEFHS
