Annette Unrau is an archivist, genealogist, and library information science professional at FamilySearch, where she identifies personal, family, and cultural narratives through systematic research and archival practice. Her work centers on appraisal, preservation, and processing, transforming collections into accessible, well-documented resources for researchers and communities. 

She is currently completing her MLIS at San José State University and interning at Stiftung Schloss Gottorf, where she catalogs archaeological collections and adapts international archival standards to German institutional contexts. Her experience includes genealogical research and reference consultation, collection appraisal and processing, multilingual cataloging, and bridging analog and digital documentation methods.
